Zhongnan Animation Video plans to launch a computer game based on its popular 3-D animation teleplay serial "Magic Wonderland", said Zhou Rihong, general manager of the flagship company in Hangzhou National Animation Industry Base, on November 20, 2006.
The company has developed related animation products in the fields of school stationary, toys, children's wear, food & beverage for children and other consumables for children at home and abroad. Shoes and other products based on an animation teleplay "Magic Eye" will be on the domestic market soon after a promotion affair scheduled in late November, said Zhou.
Zhou also admitted that some animation companies in the base face financial difficulties although the government has a series of policies to encourage and support the development of animation industries.
As the first originally created 3-D animation teleplay serial in China, "Magic Wonderland" is invested by Zhongnan Animation in co-operation with CCTV. "Magic Wonderland" tells a serial of stories about the growth of a beautiful and bright girl who lives in the east: Haiying, the daughter of Fairy Minghui, lives by herself in a small fishing village. But the evil wizard brings her into the war between justice and evil. With the help of friends, Haiying overcomes millions of difficulties and escapes from the evil power of the wizard.
