The milk powder scandal has got escalated with a report by the National Administration of Quality Supervision and Quarantine. The AQSIQ examined 265 batches of common milk powder produced by 154 milk producers before the date of Sept 14. They found melamine in 31 batches involving 20 companies, like Sanlu in Shijiazhuang and Yashili in Guangdong. Then are these milk powder brands sold in Ningbo market?

　　 At the milk powder counter of the Sanjiang Shopping Club in Nandu, there are mainly two domestic brands, Beingmate and Happy Prince, as well as Guangming and Yili. The manager tells us that they do not have any stock of the problematic brands and that they are paying close attention to the sampling test conducted by the AQSIQ.

　　 As soon as the milk powder scandal was disclosed, the sales of liquid milk has been much affected. Now, the brands on the shelves all have the label of No Melamine.

　　 “Each of our milk products has the NO Melamine label now. It means melamine has not been detected. It shows that the consumer confidence in our products has regained”, says a milk vendor.
