On the eve of the National Day, Ningbo's first non-government museum Zizhu Art Gallery, in Yinzhou New Town, was opened to public for free. The gallery covers an area of 6.6 mu, with a coverage area of over 4,000 sq meters and the investment totaling 22 million yuan. The museum is a three-storey building in the style of a courtyard. It has a collection of over 2,000 artistic works, including Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival on red sandal wood. The collection is worth over 100 million yuan. Statistics show that Yinzhou now has 18 museums including those in construction.
